yes yes y'all, Black Eyed Peas coming thru with another l.p.
It's about muthufin time is all I've gotta say. Dropping that ill
west-coast flavor all over your ear piece, the BEP's are back on the
scene. In honor of their tight new album, "Bridging the Gap", Black
Eyed Peas headlined an off the hinges album release bash. The joint
was packed, Black Eyed fans were all down to catch the Peas for a
rare performance in their home town of LA.
Promoters promised an all star underground line up for the album dropping
bash. Sure enough, the tight crew Blood of Abraham and dj Poet
Named Life were in the house opening up for the Peas. Look out
for all these cats to blow up this year. Blood of Abraham was
sounding tight, rocking dope beats and ill lyrics. DJ Poet Named Life
got the crowd hyped with a sick mix of De La Soul, Ghostface, and
Jeru. After the crowd was feeling the mad hip hop flavor in the downtown
venue, the Black Eyed Peas got down to business.
The Peas came hard, rocking old jams and blending in some new
cuts. The BEP camp was funking it up with their full on live band,
DJ, and 3 emcees. Mid way through the set, Ozomotli joined
the peas on stage for a rare collaboration. The next few jams were
fresher then moist toilettes, Ozo and the Peas tore it up. Just as
folks were thinking, damn can this spot get any hotter? Macy Gray
hit the stage and got down on a couple of cuts.
The Black Eyed Peas are back, don't sleep! The new album is some sick
shit, featuring Mos Def, Macy Gray, Wyclef, Charli2na,
Premiere
and Ozomotli. The BEP camp is coming correct once again, still
falling up.
